The 2009 WPSL National Semifinalists & USASA U23 National champions will host Final Four

DALLAS, TX (01/08/10) - A old saying in soccer goes something like "after match is before match" and for the 2009 Big Sky Conference title-holder & National Semifinalist Dallas Premier Women's S.C., preparations for the 2010 season started right after their lone loss last summer to the eventual Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) National Champion Long Island Fury. That ethic has already begun to reap fruit amidst this Texas cold spell, as Dallas were chosen to host the 2010 WPSL Final Four (July 31-August 1) and will also have a new home venue & coaching staff to boot.
DPWSC finalized an agreement with the University of Texas at Dallas, securing the use of the soccer stadium as its venue for the regular season and playoffs, after playing the 2009 season at Cedar Hill High School. Dallas looks to the 2010 season with great anticipation after posting a 11-1-1 record in their inaugural season. The agreement with UTD follows Premier's signing of Brian Flanagan as its new head coach - along with his brother Brad as assistant coach - and has Dallas Owner & General Manager Paul Marshall even more excited about the 2010 campaign.
"Everybody involved with Dallas Premier are equally humbled as well as excited that we will be hosting the 2010 WPSL Final Four," said Marshall. "After an exciting first season in 2009 where we made it to the Final Four ourselves, we thank the WPSL for their display of confidence in awarding us the bid. I personally am dedicated to showcasing our organization, and our city to the rest of the WPSL by putting on the best Final Four event in the league's history."
"Dallas Premier Women's S.C. had a strong first season, and after their solid proposal to host the 2010 Final Four, the decision to award Paul & his organization with this important honor was an easy one," said WPSL Commissioner Jerry Zanelli. "We as a league look forward to the upcoming season, but even more so, bringing the best of the WPSL best to the soccer fans of the Dallas-Fort Worth area."
